Counting by 10s...Building Insects...and Animal Kingdom Posters

On Monday we did some more counting by 10s.  Students worked together with their table groups to build 10s pyramids.  Students loved when Mrs. Mohamed would come by and knock over their finished pyramids and they would have to build them again.

On Tuesday, we learned about insects.  Students had a chance to build an insect out of Play-doh.  Each insect had to have three body parts, 6 legs, wings, and antenna.

Here's everyone with their finished insects.

When everyone was finished students had a chance to go on a gallery walk to see what all of their classmates had created.

Today students worked together with a small group to create animal group posters.  They had to include examples of and facts about their group on their poster.

When finished students presented their posters to the rest of the class.
