Yesterday we did several experiments with apples. First students predicted whether they thought an apple would sink or float in a tub of water. We then tested it out and learned that an apple floats. Students recorded their results in their apple books.
Next, we spent some time exploring an apple with our five senses. We ended the afternoon by using balance scales to see if different objects were heavier or lighter than an apple. Some of the objects students used included: a book, a pencil, scissors, a glue bottle, a crayon box, a ruler, and a shoe.
This morning we had a chance to play Learning Bingo with our 6th grade buddies. It was very fun!
