This past Wednesday was the first day of kindergarten! It was a great day!
Students' favorite part of the day was getting to check out some of our class toys/activities during choice time. During the first week of school students could choose to play with Legos, toy animals, pattern blocks, Mr. Potato Head, and Zoobs. They're all looking forward to this upcoming week when all activities will be open for use.
On Wednesday we practiced using glue. We started by reading the book Too Much Glue by Jason Lefebvre. Then students worked hard to use "dots not lots" to complete their gluing projects.
Later in the day we read the book A My Name is Alice by Jane Bayer. Students then practiced using glue again to decorate the first later of their names.
After finishing their projects students had a chance to work on some of our classroom puzzles.
