Brimhall Olympics and the Rest of our Week

During the month of February students have been participating in the Brimhall Olympics during gym.  This week they had a chance to go "bobsledding."  Students had a lot of fun in the new snow and warmer temperatures!

In math this week we learned about odd and even numbers.  On Monday students sorted odd and even numbers and then on Tuesday they did an odd and even search using dice.

In science we began a two week unit on weather.  On Wednesday we learned about weather idioms including the idiom -- "It's raining cats and dogs."  We learned that this idiom means that it's not actually raining cats and dogs but that it's raining very hard.

Students dropped their own cat and dog raindrops and graphed their results.

This week we had a chance to attend the 5th grade music concert.  The students sang beautifully!!

And here's a few choice time photos from the week!  Hope everyone has a great spring break!!
