Beavers & Sorting

This week we finished up learning about the biomes of Minnesota.  We have been becoming experts on the freshwater habitats that can be found in Minnesota.  On Wednesday we learned all about beavers.  Students worked with their table groups to create beaver fact posters.  Then each student painted their own beaver.

All week long we have been learning about sorting in math.  We learned that sorting is putting things into groups based on a certain attribute.  We practiced sorting by shape, size, count, and color.  On Friday we borrowed Ms. Tyrer's sorting boxes.  Students had a lot of fun exploring and sorting the objects inside them!
