Before winter break we finished up our unit on wood, paper, and fabric. In our classroom, students had a chance to explore floating and sinking. Students used rubber bands to attach paper clips to small pieces of wood to see how many paper clips it took to make the different types of wood sink.
In Mrs. Showalter's classroom students used small water droppers to explore if different types of fabric absorbed or repelled the water drops.
On they day before break we celebrated our learning with our Wood, Paper, & Fabric Party in the morning. In the afternoon we had fun playing Bunco with our 6th grade buddies.
