We ended the week last week with our new friend Pete the Cat!  We had a lot of fun reading and singing along to Pete's catchy songs.

Our Many Colored Days

Last Wednesday we started our afternoon by reading these color books with a partner...

Then we read the book My Many Colored Days by Dr. Seuss...

Afterwards students first drew their own pictures using only a black crayon...

Then students chose one watercolor color to paint their picture just like in the book!

Color Hunt

This week we've been learning all about colors.  So far we have learned about mixing colors and practiced writing and spelling color words.  Yesterday afternoon students went on a color hunt.  They looked around the classroom for things that were nine different colors.
