This week we read the story Lacey Walker, Nonstop Talker by ChristieAnne Jones. After we finished reading we had a class discussion about the importance of both talking and listening!
Students then had a chance to design their own Lacey Walker owls. They all did a great job!
Here are a few of the current displays we have outside of our classroom.
These are the projects that went along with the book we read last week called A My Name is Alice.
We also made these last week while we were learning about bus safety.
And yesterday we talked about friendship and students made a quilt square that shared their favorite things to do with their friends.
This week was very, very hot -- but that didn't keep us from safely enjoying a little time outside on the playground!
This morning we had our first whole school assembly. Kindergarten students walked into the assembly with 6th grade students. During the assembly we did our new school cheer and watched a game show that helped us learn our school rules!
