Students have been excited all week long as we have been learning about dinosaurs! On Wednesday, students worked with a partner to do research on a dinosaur. They used non-fiction books and a research article to complete their reports.
Here's how the reports turned out!
On Thursday we became paleontologists and went on a dinosaur dig in our classroom. After everyone found a dinosaur fossil students wrote a non-fiction article about the dinosaur they found. Today students also wrote a fiction story about their dinosaur. They will all be bringing home their dinosaur portfolios with them early next week!
These three ladies worked really hard this week in their guided reading group! Here they are with the writing they did in response to their book, The Red Balloons.
Here's everyone having fun at choice time this week!
This morning students practuced using cubes to measure the length of classroom objects. This afternoon students will measure the length of their shoe with different objects including: paper clips, dice, links, pennies, cubes, and counters.
